I think I am attracting fast beautiful cars into my life lately... My date for the evening picked me up in one of these...
It's funny, because Dev was telling me yesterday about how much better the Viper is over the Corvette. Now, this wasn't my first corvette ride, but it was pretty fun. :) Really fun guy, great date. Went to the steakhouse for dinner, then watched "Hancock" (It was ok... wasn't quite what I was hoping for). Tomorrow he wants me to come over and he'll cook me dinner. :)
But I do love that Viper... And speaking of things that move fast, I think it's time for another motorcycle ride from another certain someone I know.
Welcome
When my sister Ann brought her family out to see us, there was a couple of times that the kids ran up to me when my back was turned and said, "Mom!" Then I'd turn around and they'd see my face and realize that I am "Aunt Shotel" instead. A couple of times Munchkin #2 called me "Mommy Oops!" Now, to show the similarities of my sister and I, I'm posting these pictures. I think it's the fake red scary rocker hair that brought on the "oops!" part lol We had a grand time, anyway ;)
I showed a guy I work with our family picture, and he replied "I take it you're the black sheep of the family?" I laughed back, "Why yes, how can you tell?" He said, "Oh, just a guess..."
You've got to find this a bit funny, even if you're Republican.. :)

Went to see the new X-Files movie tonight--AWESOME! I had hopes for aliens, but it was more like a long monster of the week episode. Very interesting, very good. If you're a big fan, you've already seen it; if not, you know you're curious and go see it anyway!
I am having a wonderful life.
The last few days I have devoted to my own sanity, and to only saying yes to things that I really wanted to do, and letting the rest fall away. The return of peace into my life is nearly overwhelming, and so reassuring. It means I'm doing the right thing. Like I told Ann, a lot of times you can just call me Pony Boy, but being an outsider isn't so bad when you're enjoying it. :)
I don't believe in temporary coincidences. You can call the way the pieces have been falling together the past few weeks coincidence, because they could probably be seen that way, but to me it's just one more reason to keep going.
Yep. I had good dreams!
Yes, I read horoscopes. Not that I believe what is going to happen, but it's just something fun to do at the start of my workday. Today's horoscope, however, fit exactly how I've been feeling today:
"You may have a strong ally working on your behalf now, and you might not even realize it. Others can be quite helpful as they support you from behind the scenes. Don't waste time trying to figure out who your hidden angel is; just know that something may be in the works and you should be ready to smile when the good news arrives."
Right now I feel like I have a lot of people on my side, and I think for the most part I don't even realize how they're helping. So for those of you I haven't thanked lately, thank you for helping me!
Today is my last day of work this week, so I get a nice long holiday weekend. To make my mood even better, WMP generated a good random list today! Some days it usually sucks, but this time 97% of the songs are exactly what I wanted to hear today. A silly little thing, but one that's making me quite happy. :)
